Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ApplyMate("ApplyMate", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the ApplyMate mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Summary

ApplyMate helps you send job-application emails from your own Gmail account. We request only the permission needed to send those emails on your behalf, we never read your inbox, and we never sell your data. You can delete your data at any time.

Information we collect

Information from Google

• Account profile — your name, email address, and profile picture, used to identify your account and show who emails are sent as.
• Gmail sending permission — when you sign in, you grant the gmail.send scope, which allows ApplyMate to send emails on your behalf. A Google refresh token is stored securely so the app can send your applications.

Information you provide

• Positions — the job roles, email subjects, and email bodies you create.
• Resumes — PDF files you upload to attach to applications.
• Recipients & history — the recruiter email addresses you send to, and a record of applications you have sent (role, recipient, subject, date).

How we use your information

• To send the application emails that you compose and explicitly choose to send.
• To store and sync your positions, resumes, and send history across your devices.
• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

ApplyMate does not read, list, or modify the messages in your Gmail inbox. The Gmail permission is used exclusively to send messages you initiate.

Google API Services User Data Policy

ApplyMate's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide and improve the Service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

How we store and protect your data

• Your data is stored using Supabase (Postgres database and file storage), protected by row-level security so each user can only access their own data.
• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• Your Google refresh token is stored server-side with restricted access and is used only to obtain short-lived tokens needed to send your emails.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Service (such as Google for email delivery and Supabase for storage), and only to the extent needed to provide the features you use.

Data retention and deletion

You are in control of your data. You can:

• Delete individual positions, resumes, or history entries inside the app.
• Revoke ApplyMate's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Request full deletion of your account and associated data by emailing muneebjutt026@gmail.com. We will delete your data within 30 days.

Children's privacy

ApplyMate is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
